I love the Clean Program cleanse! In fact I love it so much that I’ve been practically eating “clean” since I finished this cleanse for the third time in the past 1.5 years! My diet has grown to about 95% “clean” and I’m hoping to keep it this way (which really isn’t difficult at all). The more smoothies, shakes, juices, soups, raw foods, raw desserts, etc. I discover, the more variety added to my diet which makes it that much easier to stick with this way of eating. It’s really been easy and extremely enjoyable! 😛
Here’s one of my favorite recent recipes, compliments of the Clean Program. I suggest having this for breakfast or sometime earlier in the day versus at the end of the day/night. The natural sugars, fiber and protein may give you an energy boost and keep you up all night (unless you plan to go dancing til 2 am, in that case I suggest you go for it)! 😉
- 1/8 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup coconut water (fresh is better, but bottled will work too. Just make sure it’s all natural with no additives or preservatives)
- 1 apple (leave peel if organic for added fiber)
- 1/2 cup peaches (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- Pinch of sea salt
Blend all of the ingredients and enjoy!
Makes 1 serving.
