Turmeric Smoothie 3I’m currently addicted to this Turmeric Coconut Milk Smoothie!  It’s creamy, thick, delicious and it makes for a wonderfully satisfying breakfast!

A friend and I were recently discussing how popular turmeric is in India. We grew up with this spice, whether it was in the east, or here in the west. Our great-grandparents, grandparents and parents used this in their dishes and so, we did too!

Dating back to thousands of years ago to the Vedic culture in India, turmeric is a popular spice that’s always been used in an abundance of Indian dishes.

Turmeric has a remarkable number of health benefits and studies are revealing how effective turmeric can be for an individual’s health.

Turmeric Smoothie 1Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup of mango chunks
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

Directions:

  1. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend well.
  2. You may need a spoon for this one! 😛  Enjoy!

  1. This sounds lovely, and I have ALL of the above ingredients as I love to make smoothies.. so this one is a must for tomorrow..
    I usually add a little Turmeric and Cinnamon spice on my cereal in the mornings.. Wishing you well Sunita.. Love and Blessings
